Bison to Face Harding in GAC Tourney Friday

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist begins play Friday in the 2018 GAC Tennis Championship at the Memorial Park Tennis Complex in Bentonville, Arkansas.

OBU is the third seed in the four-team tournament and opens against Harding at 10:30 a.m.

Should the Bison win, they play in the championship Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against Southeastern, which is the top seed, or Ouachita Baptist.

OBU limped down the stretch with injuries forcing multiple defaults. The Bison were beaten last week by Harding, 5-1, and by Southeastern 8-1. OBU knocked off Ouachita Baptist 5-4.

OBU, 7-7 on the season, is 37-44 in singles. Matias Le Fort leads the team at 9-4 with Gianlucca Galdi at 8-4. The Bison are 16-26 in doubles with Daniel Aguilera standing at 7-4, including a 4-3 mark with Lucas Castelo Branco.
