OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma Baptist wrapped up its second Great American Conference women's tennis regular season championship in three years with a 5-1 win over Harding at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center Friday.
Since joining the league, the Lady Bison are 18-1 against the conference and finished this year's GAC season at 6-0.
OBU led 2-1 after doubles Friday night, getting an 8-3 win from
Kateryna Shkot and
Kim Moosbacher at No. 1, to go along with an 8-3 win at No. 3 by
Alex Bowers and
Caroline Abbe.
Shkot, Moosbacher and
Madeleine Boepple got singles wins at Nos. 1, 2 and 5 to clinch the match.
Tahlia Walsh and
Alex Bowers were leading in their singles matches at the time.
Now 12-4 overall, the Lady Bison finish the regular season April 24 at Abilene Christian.
