Lady Bison Clinch Share of GAC Title

DURANT – Oklahoma Baptist claimed no worse than a share of the regular season Great American Conference title with a 7-2 win at Southeastern Oklahoma State Tuesday.

OBU took a 2-1 lead after doubles as Kim Moosbacher and Kateryna Shkot won at No. 1, 8-1, and Alex Bowers and Caroline Abbe took No. 3 doubles, 8-4.

Shkot, Tahlia Walsh, Bowers and Abbe all claimed straight-set singles wins with Bowers winning quickly, 6-1, 6-1. Madeleine Boepple gutted out a three set win, 1-6, 6-2, 14-12.

OBU improves to 5-0 in the GAC and 11-4 overall. The Lady Bison play at Northwestern Missouri State Friday and at Nebraska-Kearney Saturday before getting a chance to win the conference outright with a home match against Harding April 17.
