Bloomfield Named Player of the Week

SHAWNEE – The Great American Conference Tuesday named Oklahoma Baptist shortstop Brett Bloomfield its Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Bloomfield, a junior shortstop from Davis, California, batted .556 in five OBU games, going 10 for 18 with seven runs, five RBIs, a double and two home runs for a .944 slugging percentage. He has a current nine-game hit streak.
 
This is the first Player of the Week honor for OBU baseball this season and the first of Bloomfield's career. Bison baseball has three Pitcher of the Week awards this season.
