Lady Bison Snap SEU Win Streak at 17

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist put an end to the 17-game win streak of St. Edward's in dominating 8-1 fashion Monday.
 
The Lady Bison have been dominant in their wins this season, having only given up six points in those victories.
 
Both teams came in as the No. 4 team in their respective regions. The Lady Bison improved to 6-2 overall while the Hilltoppers dropped to 17-1.
 
The afternoon started out with OBU sweeping doubles. Kim Moosbacher and Kateryna Shkot won at No. 1, 8-1. Madeleine Boepple/Tahlia Walsh at No. 2 and Alex Bowers/Caroline Abbe at No. 3 each won their matches 8-3.
 
In singles, Nos. 1-5 tasted victory, with No. 6 Caroline Abbe having to withdraw in the second set of her match due to injury.
 
No. 3 Tahlia Walsh and No. 4 Alex Bowers' matches went the distance, winning 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 and 7-6, 3-6, 10-6, respectively.
 
Oklahoma Baptist gets about a 22-hour break before heading to Lawton to take on Cameron tomorrow at 2 p.m.
