Mustangs Edge Bison 5-4

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Oklahoma Baptist lost 5-4 at Midwestern State Mustangs Friday evening, ending their three match win streak.
 
Doubles competition saw OBU's No. 1 Kevin Andrush and Luis Romero get their first win on the season as doubles partners, defeating MSU's Dillon Pineda/Nolan McCaig 8-4.
 
In Singles, OBU's No. 4 Daniel Aguilera, No. 5 Romero, and No. 6 Matias Le Fort all tasted victory, with Le Fort now 4-2 this season, having won four singles matches in a row.
 
Lucas Castelo Branco's match against MSU's Vasudev Vijayaraman went the distance, as Vijayaraman pulled out the win after giving up the first set, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5. Gianlucca Galdi suffered his first singles loss of the season against MSU's Angel Palacios, 6-3, 6-3
 
The Bison return to action on Monday as the men take on the Hilltoppers of St. Edward in the Bison's second home match of the year.
