Lady Bison Tame Tigers, 8-1

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist won its home opener Monday, dispatching Cowley County 8-1.
 
OBU swept the doubles competition with Kim Moosbacher and Kateryna Shkot scoring an 8-1 win at No. 1 while Tahlia Walsh and Madeleine Boepple won at No. 2, 8-3, and Alex Bowers and Caroline Abbe knocked off Margot Fontaine and Coraline Lamer, 8-5.
 
Moosbacher, Shkot, Bowers, Boepple and Abbe all won their singles matches in straight sets with Boepple recording a pair of shutout sets.
 
The 3-1 Lady Bison return to action Thursday, hosting Southern Nazarene at 3 p.m.
