Galdi Captures GAC Honor

SHAWNEE – The Great American Conference named Oklahoma Baptist's Gianluca Galdi its Men's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.
 
Galdi, a sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, was 3-1 on the week.
 
Galdi scored the lone win in OBU's match against No. 13 Drury, beating Lukas Stierling in straight sets in No. 5 singles. He also knocked off Theo Butaeye of Lindenwood in two sets of No. 4 singles after combining with Matias Le Fort for a No. 2 doubles win over Antoine Barruad and Hector Horcajada.
 
This is the first Player of the Week award for OBU men's tennis this season. It is the second time Galdi has claimed the honor, having also won once last season.
