Hearn Named in 40-Man Roster for Rangers

SHAWNEE – Former Bison pitcher Taylor Hearn has been named to the 40-man roster for the Texas Rangers ahead of preseason.
 
Hearn, who was acquired by the Rangers from the Pirates in a trade this past July, made five starts at Double-A Frisco. While in Frisco, he posted a 1-2 record with a 5.04 earned-run average. Through four minor league seasons between the Rangers, Pirates and Nationals organizations, Hearn has averaged 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings and a 3.48 ERA.
