Lady Bison Picked Third in Preseason Poll

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist women's swimming and diving is picked to finish second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced Thursday.
 
The Lady Bison finished third at the RMAC Championships last season, the first season of competition for OBU in the RMAC. Seven returners earned either First Team or Second Team All-RMAC honors last season.
 
California Baptist received seven first-place votes and is picked to win the conference with 63 points in the poll. Colorado Mesa was picked second at 55 points and gathered one first-place vote. OBU earned 49 points for third place in the preseason poll.
 
Colorado School of Mines is picked to finish fourth (43 points), followed by Western (28) and Oklahoma Christian (26). Adams State (25) picked up the remaining first-place vote and is tied with Colorado State-Pueblo (25) for seventh place. Nebraska-Kearney (10) was picked to finish ninth in the conference.
 
OBU returns to action Friday at the North Texas Relays in Lewisville, Texas.
