Volleyball Signs Courtney Willis

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist volleyball has signed Houston native Courtney Willis.
 
Willis is a 6-0 senior at Texas Online Preparatory School, where she was coached by Veronica Warner. She has been selected to numerous all-tournament teams and was a 2016 NCHVC All-Region player. Willis led her team to the Silverball national title in the NCHVC tournament her senior year. As a member of the club team Houston Juniors 18 Premier, Willis finished second at the Cross Court Classic.
 
She is a member of the National Honor Society, the chairman and founder of the TOPS Senior Committee, and will graduate Magna Cum Laude this spring.
 
Willis was also recruited by Stephen F. Austin State University, East Texas Baptist University, Birmingham-Southern College, Howard Payne University, and Tennessee Wesleyan University. "I chose to come to OBU because it seemed like the perfect fit for me the moment I stepped foot on campus," said Willis.
 
"My father always said during the recruiting process, 'When you find the school that is right for you, you'll know. Everything about it will feel just right, and you'll find yourself suddenly thinking about no other school but that one.' After visiting campus and meeting Coach Anna for the first time, I knew then that OBU was the place I could see myself attending, growing and prospering over the next four years of my journey."
