Lady Bison Start Title Quest Tuesday

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist opens the NCCAA Women's Tennis championship Tuesday in Mobile, Alabama, as the No. 2 seed.
 
The Lady Bison play Campbellsville, the third seed, at 8:30 a.m. and No. 4 Emmanuel at 2:30 p.m.
 
Pool action concludes with an 8:30 a.m. match Wednesday against No. 6 Bethel.
 
Semifinals are set for 9 a.m., Thursday, with the championship set for 9 a.m., Friday.
 
The Lady Bison come into the fray with a 22-3 record. OBU's likely singles lineup includes Rouxanne Janse van Rensburg (19-3), Olivia Charvat (19-5), Kim Moosbacher (23-1), Madeleine Boepple (17-5), Alex Bowers (21-3) and Caroline Abbe (4-1).
 
Probable doubles teams for OBU include Moosbacher/Janse van Rensburg (19-4), Boepple/Charvat (18-6) and Abbe/Bowers (4-5).
 
OBU has won six consecutive matches.
 
Campbellsville is 11-8 this season and has won five of its last six matches. Kaede Amano (1 singles) is 12-4, Bolor Enkhbayer (2 singles) is 12-3 and Majella Nobile (3 singles) is 10-3. Amano/Nobile is 14-4 in doubles.
 
Emmanuel is 16-11 and has won nine times in the last 10 matches. The Lady Bison beat Emmanuel in the national tournament last season, 5-0. Bethel stands at 13-7 and has won five of its last six matches.
 
The other two teams in the field are No. 1 Indiana Wesleyan (30-7) and No. 5 Colorado Christian (9-7). IWU edged Lady Bison for the national championship, 5-4, last season. OBU blanked CCU in this year's regional tournament, 5-0.
