Shipman Named NCCAA All-American

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist shortstop Jill Shipman was selected to the NCCAA All-America softball team, it was announced Friday.
 
Shipman, a senior from Stroud, finished the season with a .323 batting average with four home runs and 19 RBI. She also hit .429 for the Lady Bison in their national championship run. Shipman improved her batting average more than 100 points this season.
 
"I'm really happy for Jill," said OBU Coach Pam Fink. "She was a big part of our successes this year."
