Seven Lady Bison Named Scholar-Athletes

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Seven Oklahoma Baptist players were honored as Scholar-Athletes by the NCCAA, it was announced Friday.
 
Haylee Zimmerman, Rachel Birchfield, Katie Reyes, Sam Barry, Miranda Garza, Jill Shipman and Madison Vaughan received the award, which requires junior or senior level hours and a 3.40 cumulative grade point average.
 
Zimmerman is a math education major from Rogers, Arkansas. Birchfield is a natural science major from Rattan. Reyes is an exercise physiology major from Vancouver, British Columbia.
 
Barry is a sports and recreation management major from Dale. Garza is a management major from Frisco, Texas. Shipman is a management major from Stroud. Vaughan is a psychology major from Coweta.
