Peterson, Garza Earn NCCAA Honors

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's Miranda Garza and Amanda Peterson were selected as NCCAA Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week for their performance in the postseason.
 
Garza, a junior from Frisco, Texas, batted .750 in the Central Regional with four RBIs, two runs and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
 
Peterson, a junior from Davenport, was 1-0 with a perfect earned run average and four strikeouts in four innings in the regional. She allowed one hit and an opponent batting average of .071.
