Bison Collect First GAC Victory

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's tennis opened Great American Conference play Friday afternoon with an 8-1 win over Ouachita- the program's first GAC win.
 
The Bison won all doubles matches as all but one singles defeated their Tiger opponents in straight sets. Thomas Ackerknecht and partner Luis Romero overcame a 6-3 deficit to win No. 2 doubles 9-7, breaking serve three times.
 
Kevin Andrusch and Lucas Castelo Branco defeated No. 1 and No. 2 singles opponents 6-1, 6-3 and 6-4, 6-4. Gianluca Galdi completely shut down his opponent, 6-0, 6-0, in No. 5 singles.
 
No 14-5, OBU takes on No. 19 Southeastern Oklahoma State Monday afternoon on Bison Hill.
