Lady Bison Face Savage Storm Tuesday

SHAWNEE – OBU women's tennis rips open a slew of Great American Conference matches this week, starting off with No. 41 Southeastern Oklahoma State Tuesday on Bison Hill at 1 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm (13-2, 4-0 GAC) have defeated multiple conference opponents but have dropped matches to No. 10 Northeastern State and St. Mary's (Texas). As a team, SOSU ranks fifth in the central region and has two ranked in singles. The doubles team of Darija Captovic and Sandra Reljic sit fourth in the region.
 
Eighteenth in the nation, OBU (16-2, 1-0 GAC) returns home with wins over Emporia State and Newman last weekend in Kansas. Rouxanne Janse van Rensburg claims the No. 36 spot in the intercollegiate singles rankings as she and partner Kim Moosbacher sit 12th in doubles. Regionally, the Lady Bison rank second behind Southwest Baptist, where Janse Van Rensburg and Olivia Charvat rank fourth and 12th respectively.
