SHAWNEE – The Oklahoma Baptist Lady Bison tennis team starts postseason action Friday in the NCCAA Central Region Tournament, hosted by McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.

The Lady Bison, ranked 32
nd in NCAA Division II, start at 11 a.m. with Colorado Christian and close the round robin tournament with McMurry Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

The Lady Bison come in at 20-3. Rouxanne Janse van Rensburg, ranked 36
th nationally in Division II singles, stands at 19-3 and is the likely No. 1 singles entrant for OBU.
Olivia Charvat is 18-5,
Kim Moosbacher is 22-1,
Madeleine Boepple is 17-5,
Alex Bowers is 20-3 and
Caroline Abbe is 3-1 in singles.

Moosbacher and Janse van Rensburg led the team with 17 doubles wins, followed by Boepple/Charvat with 16.

Colorado Christian is 8-6 this season with four losses in its last five matches. Caroline Alberson has been their most successful singles player with a 9-1 record at No. 3. Maddie Andersson and Paige Crews are 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

McMurry is 14-6 this season. Samantha Ritz leads the team with 16 singles wins, largely at No. 3. Zaya Gomez has 11 wins at No. 4 singles. Bree Brosig and Ritz have a team-best 12 doubles wins – all at No. 1.
