Bison Open Postseason Friday

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist starts its postseason quest with a stop in Abilene, Texas, for the NCCAA Central Region Tournament Friday and Saturday, hosted by McMurry.
 
OBU opens with Dallas Baptist at 2 p.m., Friday, and finishes the round-robin format at 8:30 a.m. Saturday against Colorado Christian.
 
The OBU men are ranked 32nd in Division II, led by No. 23 singles player Kevin Andrusch.
 
OBU is 19-5 on the season. Andrusch is 19-3 in singles this season and is the likely No. 1 entrant for OBU. Lucas Castelo Branco is 15-8, Luis Romero is 10-5, Matias Le Fort is 14-8, Thomas Ackerknecht is 13-8 and Gianluca Galdi is 18-3.
 
Ackerknecht and Romero have been the most productive doubles team, registering 19 wins.
 
Dallas Baptist is 12-8 on the season and have won three of their last four matches. No individual records were available.
 
Colorado Christian is 3-13 on the season and in the throes of a seven-game slide. Ryder Searl leads the team with two wins at the No. 1 singles slot. Searl and Nic Hoime have two No. 1 doubles wins.
