BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist's Rouxanne Janse van Rensburg headlined the annual Great American Conference Tennis Banquet Thursday night, earning Women's Player and Freshman of the Year honors.
The freshman from Cape Town, South Africa, was a unanimous choice for those awards and also was joined on the First Team by teammates
Olivia Charvat and
Kim Moosbacher while
Madeleine Boepple earned Second Team All-GAC honors.
The Lady Bison are not included in the GAC Tournament due to their provisional status in the NCAA.
Janse van Rensburg is 18-3 in singles this year and 16-4 in doubles, playing all of her matches at No. 1 singles. She was 10-0 against the GAC.
Charvat, a senior from Tulsa, was 17-5 in singles with all but one of those matches coming in the No. 2 slot. She also was 15-6 in doubles action.
Moosbacher, a freshman from Cologne, Germany, was 10-0 in the GAC and is 21-1 in singles, including 19-1 at No. 3 singles. She is 17-4 this season in doubles.
Boepple, a sophomore from Stuttgart, Germany, holds a 16-5 record in singles, including 15 wins at No. 4 singles. She also is 16-6 in doubles this season, mostly at No. 2.
