Ackerknecht Lauded by NCCAA

SHAWNEE – The National Christian College Athletic Association Tuesday named Oklahoma Baptist's Thomas Ackerknecht its Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Ackerknecht, a senior from Antofagasta, Chile, was 4-0 on the week, going 2-0 in both doubles and singles. His victories were crucial in a 5-4 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State and a victory at Harding to give OBU its first Great American Conference regular season title. His win at Harding in singles clinched the match and the conference crown.
