Bowers Honored by NCCAA

SHAWNEE – The NCCAA awarded Lady Bison sophomore Alex Bowers with Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.
 
A Duncan, Oklahoma product, Bowers went undefeated in singles play, downing the likes of Central Oklahoma, Southwestern (Kan.) and John Brown as she only allowed one game to reach three sets.
 
She and doubles partner Alex Morales went 2-1 on the week, winning their last two competitions 8-4 and 8-1 against SC and JBU.
 
Bowers returns to action along with her teammates as they travel to Arkansas-Fort Smith on Tuesday.
