Bison Face Tough Saturday Test

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist, ranked 46^th in the nation, hosts No. 21 Midwestern State at 10 a.m., Saturday.
 
The 7-5 Mustangs are on a two-game win streak with victories over No. 11 Georgia College and Metro State. Of their five losses, four have come against ITA Top 20 programs and the other was to TCU.
 
Dylan Hall and Ramon Toyos are both a team-leading 7-4 in singles with Hall playing primarily at No. 4 and Toyos at No. 1.
 
Midwestern, playing a challenging schedule, is 18-18 in doubles this season.
 
The Bison enter the match at 11-4 for the season and with a two-match win streak in tow.
 
Four Bison have reached the 10-win plateau, led by Kevin Andrusch, who is 11-2 overall with an 8-1 mark in first singles. Matias Le Fort also has 11 wins, including a 7-1 mark at No. 5 singles.
 
Lucas Castelo Branco is 10-5 this season in singles, but 8-1 since moving to No. 2. Gianluca Galdi has played in four different slots, but has gone 6-2 at No. 6 to forge a 10-3 overall singles record.
 
OBU is 31-14 this year in doubles, including a 12-2 mark by Thomas Ackerknecht and Luis Romero, who are on a 12-match win streak that includes eight matches in the first slot.
