Lady Bison Down UCO

SHAWNEE – Lady Bison tennis defeated Central Oklahoma by a commanding score of 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon as the OBU women defended their homestead.
 
Doubles tandems of Rouxanne Janse Van Rensburg and Kim Moosbacher and Olivia Charvat and Madeleine Boepple took their respective matches by a score of 8-3 each.
 
Van Rensburg, Charvat and Moosbacher defeated their singles opponents in straight sets, as Alex Bowers took her singles win in three by way of 5-7, 6-3 and 10-3.
 
"That's a good team win for our girls. We knew they were a really good team, especially at 1 and 2 where they are a combined 15-1," head coach Peter McCorkle said.
 
The win is McCorkle's first over the Bronchos throughout his tenure at OBU.
 
UCO drops to 4-5 on the season as OBU jumps to 5-1 ahead of a four-match road trip before returning home on March 10th to open Great American Conference play against Ouachita and Henderson State.
