Lady Bison Duo Adds to All-America Honors

2017 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Teams

SHAWNEE – Emmily Infante and Jennifer Goethe have each been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar All-America team, the coaching organization announced Friday afternoon. It's the second All-American honor for both student-athletes in 2017.

Infante, a Mexico City, Mexico, native who was earlier honored as a USC Third Team All-American, was named to the USC Scholar All-America First Team. The junior boasts a 3.43 grade-point average as a Pre-Allied Health major. It's the first time for Infante to make the Scholar All-America team.

Goethe, a junior from Shawnee, earned Division II Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) All-America Honorable Mention laurels earlier this year, and was named to the USC Scholar All-America Third Team. She majors in Health and Human Performance and has posted a 3.38 GPA. Like Infante, it is also Goethe's first time on the Scholar All-America list.

Oklahoma Baptist is the lone Great American Conference school to place players on the USC Scholar All-America teams, and leads all Oklahoma programs with two selections.
