Baseball Lands Two SGU Transfers

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist baseball has added two transfers from St. Gregory's – first baseman PJ Harris and pitcher Mychal Yarbor.

Harris is a 6-0, 215-pound senior from Frisco, Texas, who has played at Alabama State and Grayson College. Harris was a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American at Alabama State when he hit .308 with five home runs and 33 RBI.

He was a member of the National Honor Society at Frisco High School and was named a North Texas High School All-Star in 2014. PJ is the son of Palance and Tina Harris.

"I chose to attend OBU because of the great coaching staff and the great group of guys," Harris said.

Yarbor is a 5-11 left-handed pitcher from Bandon, Oregon. He was a First-Team All-Conference selection at Clackamas Community College and second-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference at St. Gregory's, where he was 9-3 with 99 strikeouts in 87.2 innings last season.

Yarbor, the son of Tricia Garrett and Josh Garrett, was a First-Team All-State selection at Bandon High School, which reached the State Finals his sophomore season.
