Jesus Chavez

Jesus Chavez is a 6-3 pitcher from Oxnard, Calif., transferring to OBU from Oxnard College where he was a second-team All-Conference selection.

Chavez attended Channel Islands High School, where he played for Ernie Carrasco.

Chavez is the son of Hilda Chavez and Jesus Chavez.

Eric Carlson

Eric Carlson, a third baseman, transfers to OBU from Lassen College, where he was an All-American, All-State and Golden Valley Conference MVP.

He played for Coach John Wallace at Ashland (Oregon) High School and earned Conference Player of the Year, honorable mention All-State and set the school record for hits in a season while leading the squad to two quarterfinal appearances.

The son of Kami and Jeff Carlson, Eric was an honor roll student in high school.

Recruited by Sterling, Davenport, Rogers State and Simpson, Carlson picked OBU because of "the great education and amazing baseball program."
