NCAA Central Region Poll
SHAWNEE – After going 1-0-1 last week, Oklahoma Baptist dropped two spots to No. 7 in the latest Central Region poll released by the NCAA national office on Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Bison debut at No. 5 in the regional rankings last week.
Oklahoma Baptist (13-1-2, 8-0-2 GAC) owns an in-region record of 11-1-2 with two matches left to play in the regular season. They are the only Great American Conference school to appear in the regional poll, and one of two Oklahoma programs ranked in the Central Region. The top six teams earn bids to the Central Region tournament, though the winner of the GAC Tournament receives an automatic-qualifier bid.
The Lady Bison look to wrap up the GAC regular season title tonight when they take on Northwestern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. in Alva.
