RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist men's tennis wrapped up the Great American Conference Individual Championships Saturday afternoon.
 
The Bison had a consolation bracket victory, and competed in four semifinal matches over the course of the tournament, hosted by Arkansas Tech at Russellville High School.
 
Junior Babji Atturu defeated Harding's Brandon Hogland 8-1 in the flight two singles consolation final to claim the consolation championship.
 
Ian Sims fell 8-2 to Nair Adi from Ouachita Baptist in a flight three singles consolation semifinal.
 
Michael Vetter and Matias Le Fort dropped a doubles match 8-5 in the flight one semifinals to a team from Ouachita.
 
In the final doubles match of the afternoon, Lucas Castelo Branco and Sims were outdueled 8-2 by a team from Harding in flight two doubles.
 
OBU will compete in one final competition this fall when they head to the ITA Central Region Tournament in Oklahoma City from Sept. 30 – Oct. 3.
