GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Oklahoma Baptist volleyball team debuted at No. 8 in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Poll. The NCCAA released the national rankings Tuesday afternoon.
Â
Oklahoma Baptist, last season's NCCAA National Runners Up, received eight points in the poll. They currently sit 3-6 after two weeks of action after playing five NCAA Regional qualifiers over that span. The Lady Bison own non-conference wins over North Carolina-Pembroke, Kentucky State and New Haven so far this season.
Nicole Fleitman and
Kynnedy Myers have been the keys to OBU's offensive success, with both Lady Bison earning all-tournament honors at least once this season.
Â
Indiana Wesleyan, the reigning NCCAA Champion, currently tops the poll with a 12-1 record. Colorado Christian and Campbellsville round out the top three.
Â
The Lady Bison are set to open the Great American Conference slate tonight with a 7 p.m. tilt against Northwestern Oklahoma State inside the newly renovated Noble Complex. The first 100 students will receive a free Bison shirt upon arrival at the Noble Complex.
