GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) have named
Kynnedy Myers to the Academic All-District 7 Team, the CoSIDA national office announced Thursday morning.

Myers, a sophomore setter from Rose Hill, Kansas, earns the honor for the first time in her career in her first year being eligible for the award. Her 8.66 assists per set so far this term is the eighth-best mark in the Great American Conference, and she is also averaging 2.73 digs per set and 1.36 kills per set. For the year, she has 12 double-doubles, as well as two triple-doubles. She has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association Volleyball Player of the Week once, as well as the GAC Setter of the Week.

To be recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and have a 3.3 grade-point average. First team honorees move on to the Academic All-American ballot.

Oklahoma Baptist is the only school in the GAC to have a student-athlete named to the All-District team this season. The Lady Bison are also the only team in Oklahoma to place a student-athlete on the team.

Oklahoma Baptist (17-11, 11-3 GAC) currently sit atop the conference standings with two matches left. They return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 8 for Senior Night against Southeastern Oklahoma State. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. inside the Noble Complex.
