Daniele Manning is an All-State shortstop and catcher from Dale High School.
Manning, coached by Andy Powell, earned All-State honors this fall and was Little All City in 2014 and 2015. She is a four-year Vype All-Region selection and played in the State Championship game all four years, winning the title in 2013 and 2014.
"Dani is an excellent addition to our team," said OBU Coach
Pam Fink. "She is an all around athletic player. We plan to use her behind the plate. She is a strong player with home run power. She is a gritty competitor and she fits with the direction we want to go in Division II. We are expecting great things from her."
The daughter of Danny Manning and Nicki Manning, Daniele also is a member of the National Honors Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society and ranks seventh in her class.
Recruited by New Mexico and Oklahoma Christian, Manning said "I chose to go to OBU because I love the campus and it is close to home. I have three younger sisters that go to Dale High School and it is close enough that I can come back and watch."
