Bison to Play in Prestigious Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic

SHAWNEE -- Winning has its perks. Next November 7-8, the Oklahoma Baptist men's basketball team will travel to Lakeland, Fla., to take part in the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic on the campus of Florida Southern College.

OBU is coming off a 31-4 season and advancement to the NCAA Division II Tournament's "Final Four." The start of next season will bring on two matchups from the Sunshine State.

On Nov. 7, the Bison will square up with Cal State East Bay, a squad OBU met in the national quarterfinals and beat handily, 78-55, as well as D2 national runner-up Lander. That latter contest comes on Nov. 8. That game with Lander will be the first-ever matchup between the two schools. These games will be played at Jenkins Fieldhouse.

The 2025-26 Bison season was spectacular. OBU had an 18-game winning streak at one point, claimed the outright Great American Conference Regular Season Title, became the first GAC men's basketball team to advance out of the NCAA Tournament Central Regional and attained a ranking as high as No. 6 by the NABC.
