Coner Jr. Named to NABC All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its 2026 Division II All-District teams on Monday, and Oklahoma Baptist's Terry Coner Jr. earned a spot on the Central Region First Team.

Coner Jr. becomes just the third Bison to garner the NABC's attention. Previously, Burke Putnam garnered second-team accolades in 2022 while Brantly Thompson earned a second-team nod in 2021.

This season for OBU's junior guard has been nothing short of sensational. He was the GAC Player of the Year, an All-GAC First Team selection, a D2CCA All-Region honoree and the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament MVP.

Coner Jr. has a 20.0-point scoring average, has made 43.8 percent from the field, 37 percent from three and helped the Bison have their best D2 season ever. Included in this season is the team's highest NABC ranking (6th), 30 wins (the most by a GAC men's team) and advancement to the NCAA Division II Tournament's "Elite Eight."
