OBU Listed on Initial NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Oklahoma Baptist was one of 10 teams from the NCAA Division II Central Region listed in the first regional rankings announced on Wednesday.

In addition to the Bison, GAC competitors Ouachita and Harding were listed as well as these schools: Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Missouri, Fort Hays State, Missouri Western, Rogers State, St. Cloud State and Washburn.

A true 1-through-10 ranking will be unveiled next week.

Regional rankings determine NCAA Tournament berths, formulated by regional committees based on a combination of performance metrics. Those include in-region winning percentage, overall DII record, strength of schedule and head-to-head results.

This season, the Bison men are 22-2 overall, have the most in-region wins of any squad in the Central Region and are tied for first in the Great American Conference.
