JOPLIN, Mo. – The Oklahoma Baptist men's cross country team finished in 12th place on Saturday during the 8K Missouri Southern Stampede.
Freshman
Jacob Tiger paced all Bison runners with a 50th place finish. The newcomer's first 8K race earned him a time of 25:39.77. Sophomore
Hudson Cunningham was OBU's second scorer.
He came in 69th with a personal-best mark of 26:00.48.
Josh Kearse and
Logan Austin were the Bison's third- and fourth-point scorers on Saturday. For Kearse, he placed 80th with a time of 26:24.28 while Austin followed two spots later (26:26.96).
OBU's final participants on Saturday were
Rylan Nofire and
Ira Gikas. That duo finish in 92nd and 93rd, respectively with times of 26:38.26 and 26:38.78.
The Bison will return to action on Oct. 4 when they race in Arkansas' Chili Pepper Festival in Fayetteville.
