NORMAN – Altyn Bartley of the Oklahoma Baptist women's track and field team posted a pair of top-four finishes during Friday's OU Winter Fest at Mosier Indoor Facility. She also broke the school's previous indoor record in the shot put.
The junior earned third in the weight throw with a performance of 15.76m (51-8.50). She also delivered a personal-best and school record in the shot put event. The Dallas, Texas native heaved 14.22 meters (46-8.00), topping Akela Jones' 14.16m heave from 2014. Bartley's mark in the shot put also met NCAA provisional standards.
OBU had one other top-five finish. That was delivered by freshman
Kiara Stallin in the shot put, when she heaved 13.28 meters (43-7.00).
