RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist men's basketball players
Terry Coner Jr. and
Christian Hodge were named Great American Conference Players of the Week on Monday.
Coner Jr. earned the league's offensive honors while Hodge was voted on the defensive side.
Last week, the 23rd-ranked Bison went 2-0 with wins over Southwestern Oklahoma State and Southeastern.
For Coner Jr., he averaged 22.5 points per game, made an impressive 73.9 percent from the field and 57 percent from downtown. On top of those numbers, he tallied nine assists and grabbed eight rebounds. This is his second career honor.
As for Hodge, he collected eight rebounds, five steals and two blocks. For the 6-foot-5 freshman from Houston, this was his first weekly accolade.
OBU's next game comes on Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at East Central.
