OBU Takes 25th at NCAA Championships

KENOSHA, Wisc. – In its first-ever NCAA Division II National Championships appearance, Oklahoma Baptist finished in 25th overall at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course on Saturday.

OBU was the top Great American Conference finisher too, besting East Central, who finished in 28th place.

The Bison's highest individual finishers were Damien Williams and Emery Crayton. That duo placed 63rd and 83rd, respectively, with 10K times of 31:15.4 and 31:37.1.

After that, Elijah White (142nd), James Williams (173rd) and Zachary Williams (179th) were OBU's third through fifth point scorers.

By the end of the race, Wingate (NC) won the overall team title while Adams State and Colorado School of Mines took second and third, respectively.

Saturday's race ended OBU's 2025 campaign, highlighted by this national's trip, a runner-up finish in the Great American Conference Championship and best-ever seventh-place mark in the D2 Central Regional Championship.
