SHAWNEE -- The Oklahoma Baptist men's basketball team was receiving votes in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Preseason Poll released this week.Â

OBU, coming off an 18-11 record last season, received six votes.Â

The Bison were one of only two Great American Conference schools to find its name in this poll. The other team was Southern Nazarene who checked in at No. 22 in the NABC preseason release.Â

Competition for the green and gold opens on Nov. 14 in Bethany during the GAC/NSIC Conference Challenge. On that Friday, the Bison will play Northern State at 7:30 p.m. inside the Sawyer Center.Â
