TULSA – Thursday evening saw the Oklahoma Baptist men's and women's cross country teams compete at the RSU Distance After Dark. The OBU men's team finished in first place with
Maxamillian Wheeler at the helm.
Bison Cross Country kicked off their season with a late run at the RSU Distance After Dark. Wheeler led the Men's 4 Mile Run with a 19:50.61 finish.
Carson Kardokus secured second place with a time of 19:54.60. Emory Crayton,
James Williams and
Corbin Galt all finished in top 10 to bring the total to five Bison in the ninth place or better.
In the Women's 5000m,
Sophia Strange secured first place with a 17:23.65 finish.
Kaylen King and
Shayna Hendrix each claimed a spot among the top 20.
OBU Cross Country will be back in action on Sept. 20 at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, MO.
