JOPLIN, Mo. – Oklahoma Baptist's
Damien Williams finished in 11th place overall and the Bison team ended up in seventh during Saturday's NCAA D2 Central Regional Championship.
Williams finished the 10K race in 30:55.19, the second-best time of Great American Conference competitors.
Northwest Missouri State won the overall team title while Washburn and East Central rounded out the top three.
Freshman
Zachary Williams was OBU's next-best finisher, placing 33rd with a time of 31:40.92. Just several spots later was
Emery Crayton, who crossed the finish line in 31:56.82 which slotted the junior in 40th place.
OBU's fourth- and fifth-point scorers were
Elijah White and
Levi Haynes. That duo earned 54th and 55th place, respectively, with times of 32:21.30 and 32:24.51.
Freshman
Jacob Tiger also finished the 10K race with a mark of 33:07.01 (85th).
