SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men's basketball coach
Jason Eaker released his 2024-25 schedule on Tuesday. There are 28 games on the docket, including 12 inside the Noble Complex.
"We are excited to officially release this season's schedule. Starting our opening weekend at Minnesota Duluth (Nov. 8-9) through our last game on Senior Night against East Central (March 1), we know we will be tested in every single one of our 28 regular-season games before we begin postseason play," Eaker said.
"Our players and us as a coaching staff are looking forward to our pursuit of championships and most of all our opportunity to go on this journey together. It is going to be a special season for Bison Basketball," he added.
Competition starts on Nov. 8-9 during the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Great American Conference Crossover. The Bison play Minnesota Crookston and Minnesota Duluth on those days, both at 3 p.m.
OBU's first home game follows on Nov. 14 against Arlington Baptist. Then, over the rest of the month, the Bison will be on the road against Newman (Nov. 22), Dallas Baptist (Nov. 29) and Texas A&M International (Nov. 30).
In December, OBU will start its GAC contests. Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas pay visits to the Noble Complex on Dec. 5 and 7 before another home date with Southeastern Oklahoma State on the 12th. The final games of the year come at East Central on Dec. 14 and at Southwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 19.
After Christmas break, the Bison will start 2025 with another home date, this one against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Jan. 4. A week later, OBU visits the Natural State for the first time. The green and gold play Arkansas Tech on Jan. 9 before a Jan. 11 date with Harding.
Three of the next four dates will be in Shawnee for the Bison. On Jan. 16 and 18, Ouachita and Henderson State will be in town before a Jan. 25 clash with SWOSU. In between those games is a contest at Southern Nazarene on Jan. 23.
OBU's next trip to Arkansas follows. The Bison face SAU on Jan. 30 before a Feb. 1 date at Monticello. After that long haul, OBU will play three straight at home: Harding (Feb. 6), Arkansas Tech (Feb. 8) and SNU (Feb. 13).
Down the stretch there are five games, four of which are on the road. Those away from home are Feb. 15 at Northwestern; Feb. 20 and 22 at Henderson State and Ouachita and Feb. 27 at Southeastern.
The regular-season finale comes March 1 at home against ECU. Should the Bison qualify for the GAC Tournament, that will take place in Fort Smith, Ark., on March 6-9.
