SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist forward
Nathan Wilson was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District First Team on Tuesday.
The Auckland, New Zealand native and sports and recreation management major is the second Bison to earn this distinction. A season ago,
Legend Barrett was honored.
To qualify, a student-athlete needed to possess at least a 3.50 grade point average, play in 90 percent of the team's games, been of sophomore standing and have legitimate playing credentials.
For Wilson, he played in all 28 contests with 21 starts. He averaged 7.4 points per game and a team-high 8.1 rebounds. That latter mark was tops in the Great American Conference. Wilson shot a team-high 59.2 percent from the field and registered an OBU-best 25 blocks. During the season, he scored as many as 20 points twice and notched three double-doubles: vs. Henderson State (2/1), Southeastern (2/29) and Harding (1/13). The junior pulled down as many as 10 rebounds in nine different games too.
