FORT WORTH, Texas – The Oklahoma Baptist men's track and field team opened its outdoor season over the weekend at TCU's Alumni Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Bison posted four top-five marks and six other top-10 finishes during their two-day stay in the lone star state.
Freshman Caden Peevey placed fourth in the 100m race with a 10.68, OBU's fastest time in the event since 2022.
Carson Kardokus led the 1500m squad with a personal-best 3:57.87 that finished fifth. Teammates Michael Parker (11h – 4:05.40), Josh Kearse (13th – 4:06.90), and Ethan Banks (17th – 4:15.18) crossed moments later.
In the 5000m, Emery Crayton took sixth with a 15:19.46.
Boone Bennett, Aaryn Anderson, and Jentezen Smith finished 6-7-8 in the 110m hurdles, respectively. Bennett ran a 14.78, while Anderson and Smith clocked times of 14.79 and 14.94.
In the field events, Nathan Goodson claimed third in the high jump (1.87m, 6-1.5), and Caden Martin placed eighth in the long jump (5.82m, 19-1.25).
Wrapping up the notables was the 4x100 relay team's second-place mark. Peevey, Sean Dixon, Marcus Petersen, and Isaiah Willis crossed the line in 46.14.
