MANHATTAN, Kan. – Oklahoma Baptist competed at Kansas State's Steve Miller Invitational over the weekend, the last regular-season indoor meet on the schedule before the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships on March 8.
In the field events, Anisha Henderson won the long jump with a season-best 5.82m (19-1.25). Flora Dupans placed fifth in the shot put with a heave of 13.35m (43-9.75).
Delaney Riekert placed third in the 400m with a personal-best 56.33, the best time in the event by a Bison this season.
Kelechi Christian collected a fifth-place finish in the 200m after running a season-best 24.74. The time also met the NCAA DII Provisional standard. Running mate Olivia Tate trailed in sixth at 25.41.
In the 800m, freshman Mekenzie Connell ran a 2:16.77 for third, while Kyndall Hicks claimed sixth in the 60m hurdles with a personal-best 9.03.
Kimberly McKinney, Riekert, Hicks, and Christian earned second in the 4x400 relay with a Provisional 3:51.89.
