Harris Signs to CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist football great Keilahn Harris was signed by the Canadian Football League's (CFL) Winnipeg Blue Bombers this week.

The Richardson, Texas native joins Winnipeg which is based out of Manitoba. One of nine teams in the CFL, the Blue Bombers' 2024 regular season brought an 11-7 record and winners of the West Division.

Harris' pro career prior to Winnipeg has spanned being an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons in May of 2023 to being on the Pittsburg Steelers.

While at OBU, Harris put up staggering numbers. He left OBU with the most receptions (196) and receiving yards (2,510) in school history. Harris also hauled in 26 touchdown passes, second-most all-time, and became just the second OBU receiver to ever record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

In addition to his standout receiving skills, Harris was a viable threat in the return game. His 716 return yards during the 2022 season were the most ever in a single season. He also attained 1,570 return yards and 4,166 career all-purpose yards, also the most in OBU history.

On top of all the statistical records, Harris garnered All-America accolades in 2021 and 2022. In 2022, he was named to the Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Honorable Mention team as well as the D2Football.com Elite 100 First-Team All-America list. In 2021, Harris eared D2CCA Second-Team All-America recognition in addition to Don Hansen's D2 All-America squad.

Harris was also a two-time All-GAC First Team honoree.
