HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – OBU Volleyball earned three All-GAC awards following the conclusion of the regular season.
A trio of Bison were recognized by the Great American Conference for their achievements in the 2024 campaign. The 2024 GAC Volleyball Banquet was held the night of Nov. 20, where several members of the green and gold were honor.
Jill Leslie claimed a spot amongst the 2024 All-GAC First Team. In regular season action, Leslie compiled 316 kills to lead the Bison. The Wichita Falls, Texas, native, is ranked seventh in the GAC in points per set, averaging 3.61 for a total of 389.5 points. The redshirt-junior is also holding the sixth best hitting percentage in the league at .311. Leslie has compiled 79.0 blocks with 18 solo blocks and 61 block assists. In the previous season, Leslie also earned a spot on the All-GAC First Team and was named GAC Tournament MVP.
Emily Boyer also received recognition, taking a spot on the All-GAC Second Team. Boyer is in her second season with the Bison. The Choctaw, Oklahoma, native, has amassed 1,073 assists on the season to average 10.32 assists per set, the second most in the GAC. Boyer also holds third place in the conference in service aces with a total of 42 aces on the season to average 0.42 per set.

Avery Hellmuth earned GAC Elite Scholar Student Athlete honors for the second time in her collegiate career. Hellmuth totaled 67.0 blocks in the regular season with 19 solo blocks to lead the Bison, and 48 block assists. The Dallas, Texas, native, has amassed 264 kills and 326.0 points, averaging 3.08 points per set. In recent weeks, Hellmuth surpassed the 1,000 total career kills mark, to total 1,083 kills in her collegiate career. In the previous season, Hellmuth claimed All-GAC Honorable Mention and GAC Elite Scholar Student Athlete honors.
