RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Oklahoma Baptist senior forward
Nathan Wilson was honored as the Great American Conference's Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday following a fine performance against Arlington Baptist last week.
During the 96-77 win, the 6-foot-8 New Zealander tallied three blocks, a steal and 16 rebounds, a career-high. Eight of those boards were on the defensive end too. He also added 13 points for his fourth career double-double.
This season, Wilson leads the GAC and ranks eighth in the country with 2.7 blocks per game. He's also slotted second in the conference and 22nd nationally in rebounding (10.0).
Wilson and the Bison return to action on Nov. 22 at Newman.
