INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country Committee announced that Oklahoma Baptist's
Sophia Strange and
Maxamillian Wheeler were selected to compete as individuals at the upcoming DII Championships.
The championships take place on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course in Sacramento, Calif. Men's competition starts at 1 p.m. (EST) followed by the women at 2:15 (EST).
For Strange, this will be her second-straight appearance at nationals. A season ago, the Houston, Texas native earned All-America honors after delivering the fastest time (20:37.0) at the national event and second-best finish in school history.
Wheeler's appearance is his first. He's also the first Bison men's runner to qualify for the NCAA Championship in the D2 era.
